Making DecisionsTo start, let's talk about decisions. We make decisions every day. Every minute, every hour, in the office, at home, on the road – the day is so full of decisions, life is full of decisions, business is full of decisions. Now, the thing is our future is based on those decisions we made.
Because of this reason, it gets hard to make decisions or being decisive on which way to go. The fear sets in, you don't know either to choose the option A or the B, because you're afraid of what will happen if you don't choose the right choice. This often presses us to avoid making a decision that will change our lives, our family, our business, or our world.
Without decisions, you can't make changes. Without making decisions, you can't expect personal and business progress. You really need to make the right decisions and take actions based on them, only in such a way you can expect progress.
Overcome the Fear of Making DecisionsNow that it's been established that fear is the biggest enemy of making those decisions, you need to overcome the fear of making decisions.
Like it or not, the only way to overcome this fear is to "face your fears." Doing those scary things that scare you. The magic happens outside your comfort zone! Don't go for the easiest option because you're scared. You need to move out of the place (comfort zone) and face your fears squarely.
Develop CourageAn individual develops courage by doing courageous acts", those were Aristotle's words. Courageous acts entail going for that choice that scares you the most. Most times, it is always the right choice, they aren't just easy, or the fear of failing pushes us backs. Options that scare us the most, however, should not be seen as difficult tasks or a mountain, they are actually challenges to be mastered rather than as threats to be avoided.
While we are all humans and are permitted to fear, we must know that fear is also a dangerous thing that prevents us from making decisions that might change our life for good. Ask yourself what's the worst that can happen? And see the fear crumbling down.
